Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) of Mymensingh Visited CEP-Gouripur



ADRA in Bangladesh is working closely with the marginalized community across the country through its Community Empowerment Project (CEP). CEP in Mymensingh is functioning to improve the livelihood of the underprivileged community for decades. The mission of the Community Empowerment Project (CEP) is to bring out sustainable changes to the context it has discovered.


Mr. Mahfuzul Alam Masum, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development and Human Resource Management), Mymensingh visited the Community Empowerment Project (CEP), Gouripur, Mymensingh. Mr. Amir Salman Roni, Assistant Commissioner, and Mr. Muhammad Sanowar Hossain, District Relief and Rehabilitation Officer were present during the visit.


Mr. Mahfuzul Alam Masum went to see the activities of ‘Churali Mahila Unnayan Shomity’ located at Chander Satiya No. 2 Gouripur Union, Gouripur, Mymensingh. There he explored the Vermicompost factory of Md. Arifuzzman Jewel, who received training on Vermicompost from ADRA Bangladesh. He was satisfied to see the Vermicompost factory and encouraged to keep up the good work.


Besides, he visited to see 36 concrete rings of Vermi Fertilizer Farming of the project, vegetable garden, Baromasi Black Watermelon (Variety: Karishma), eggplant field, and sunflower cultivation. He encouraged and inspired such activities. The Additional Deputy Commissioner, then, visited the health session of Newborn Baby Care for the members of ‘Churali Mahila Unnayan Shomity’.
