The Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) is a global humanitarian organization of the Seventh-day Adventist Church that demonstrates God's love and compassion.  ADRA is a professional, learning and efficient network that embodies integrity and transparency.  ADRA reaches across boundaries empowering and speaking out for the at-risk and forgotten to achieve measurable, documented and durable changes in lives and society.

ADRA started working in Bangladesh in response to the humanitarian needs of the people, right after the Liberation War in 1971.  Later, it expanded its works to include development activities.  ADRA Bangladesh is a private non-governmental organization registered with the government of Bangladesh.​

 

Since its inception, ADRA Bangladesh has responded to every major disaster, targeting people in need.  It has also served in many emergency situations as it also prepares the community as best as possible to withstand future natural disasters.
